What Is Skype?

Skype is a software program available for PCs, Macs, and numerous mobile devices, that allows you to communicate with via voice and/or video chat over the Internet.

Is It Confidential?

We do not record Skype calls. We offer you the same level of confidentiality as we would in a live, face-to-face meeting.

What Do I Need to Use Skype?

Skype is most commonly used on a PC or Mac. In order to use Skype you must have a microphone and speakers. A headset microphone is recommended. If you would like to use the video chat option, you need to have a Web cam. This can be a camera built into your computer or monitor, or a separate camera you purchase and install.

You will need to download the Skype software from http://www.skype.com. Additionally, you will need to set up an account. When you do you will provide your username or handle to those you want to chat with so they can “call” you. You may also use someone else’s handle to “them.”

Skype can also be used as a telephone, allowing you call out and receiving incoming phone calls but these features are not free and will require a purchase.

You can find more information and help with Skype at http://support.skype.com.
